The Senales Valley in Winter
Shhhhh. Can you hear that? No? No. Of course you can’t. The Senales Valley is so quiet in the winter. The snow covers the farmsteads, mountain meadows, forests and mountaintops like a soft, cotton blanket.
A fairy-tale countryside where winter isn’t the same without hot tea from a Thermos flask, mittens made from real sheep’s wool, being able to see your breath, red noses and the magnificent mountain views of the high Alpine landscape.
Wintery forests and snowy pastures. Yet, deep in the valley, the glacier awaits skiers, snowboarders and all those who want to experience the most exciting side of winter. At altitudes of over 3,200m, you don’t need to worry about whether there’ll be enough snow… it’s just there. Always. The Senales Valley glacier ski area has guaranteed, year-round snow and stretches from 2,000m to 3,200m in altitude. This means that ski season in the Senales Valley begins in autumn and doesn’t end until late spring.
