The Mastaun Valley can be hiked almost all year round, with a special focus in spring, when ibex, foxes, eagles and other wild animals can be observed. Encounter nature consciously, face to face with the animals in our valley, even through binoculars.
Open the hotel door and go! The start of the hike is directly behind the Tonzhaus. The hiking trail leads quietly up through the larch forest to the Mastaun farmstead. From there, a forest road leads along the Mastaunbach stream to the Mastaun hut (1,810 m).
Would you like to see more of the Mastaun valley? Then follow trail no. 19A into the valley. About a 15-minute walk from the Mastaun alpine hut you will see a small waterfall, the Mastaunbach stream literally invites you to cool your feet and the alpine meadow is just waiting for you to sunbathe. Enjoy the unspoilt nature and admire its small wonders.
The Mastaun Alp is open in the summer months (May - October) as well as in winter.
